The Algeria Director General of National Security (DGSN), celebrated the anniversary of the creation of the Algerian police in Oran yesterday. At the event, they unveiled the special intervention team of the DGSN, called the Group Operations Special Police (GOSP).
The GOSP, who have been modeled behind RAID in France, are responsible for urban intervention against hostile gunmen through negotiation or by force, hostage-rescue, VIP protection and counter terrorism operations. During the anniversary, the GOSP held a demonstration where they showcased some of their equipment and capabilities, to include their assault vehicle, the MARS RDD Elevated Tactics System!
